  The M.D./Ph.D. Program

The seven-year M.D./Ph.D. program is a cooperative venture between the OU Health Sciences Center and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. The program prepares future physician-scientists for careers in academic medicine and clinical investigation. All program classes and accreditation are taken through the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC), and students may conduct their research projects at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, a private, non-profit biomedical research institute.

The M.D./Ph.D. program is funded with a $5 million grant from the Presbyterian Health Foundation (PHF). Students participating in this dual-degree program are concurrently enrolled in the OU Health Science Center's College of Medicine and Graduate College.
