The singular mission of the Presbyterian Health Foundation is to support medical research in Oklahoma to save and enhance human life. Correlative with this purpose is our work to foster the translation of scientific discovery from the lab to the market place that serves health needs.
Since our inception in 1985, the Presbyterian Health Foundation has approved 898 grants totaling $90,293,000. The value of the Presbyterian Health Foundation Research Park, with its 500,000 square feet of Class A Wet Lab and office space, is over $70 million. The investment portfolio in October 2003 is nearly double in size from the initial portfolio in 1985. More important than the numbers is the new science, evidence-based knowledge, that is serving the human community because of the success of researchers. When new knowledge saves lives from untimely death, improves quality of life and creates new vitality, we believe these invaluable characteristics of being alive transcend dollar measurements. As Mrs. Lasker said, "If you think research is costly, consider disease."
We invite you to follow the links to this message to the "Presbyterian Health Foundation Research Park," and to the "Presbyterian Health Foundation Conference Center." 49 companies operate in the Presbyterian Health Foundation Research Park, with exciting new entities coming in the immediate future. Persons, businesses, university colleagues are all invited to use the state-of-the-art conference center, if it fits your communication needs.
Thank you for taking time and showing your interest in this important enterprise.
